Cabo Riviera Rises Above the Rest!

There is a new look happening on our beachfront. From the Jetties our
beachfront lots are being raised to new heights. We have 42 Beachfront
home-sites undergoing massive construction. Each lot is being raised
to a height of 14.75 feet above mean high-tide. While standing on top of
a beachfront lot, which has expansive water frontage for a boat, breathtaking
views from the glorious mountains down the valley and to the gorgeous
white sand beach and warm blue waters right in front of your home, you
couldn’t help but feel like the luckiest beachfront owner in all of Los Cabos.

Come and visit Cabo Riviera, check out what we are doing, and stand on top
of what could be your “dream come true.” Lachlan said it best when he said
“The things that come to those who wait will be the things left by those who
got there first.”

Picking Up Where I Left Off

December 29, 2009 CaboKelina Leave a comment

Well you know that saying “Time flies when you are having fun!” Well it’s true, I have been having fun and now I need to pick up where I left off last.

My last post showed the new dredge being assembled. It wasn’t long after that post that the dredge went into the water and I laughed to myself because this “HUGE” dredge looked smaller than the first dredge in the water. I was assured that this dredge will do twice the work, so size doesn’t matter in this case. The dredge didn’t take off running right away as there were minor problems and repairs that needed to be fixed. It is running now and doing the job it is intended to do. The little dredge will be staying for awhile as well and working simultaneously with the the other dredge to make up for a little bit of loss time.

Some exciting news on the sales front is that I sold our first beachfront lot. It was just a matter of time as the beachfront lots are just prime real estate. Nowhere that I know of can you dock a boat up to 100 feet on the back of your home and have 100 feet of pristine beach in the front. It is no secret that the beachfront lots will be the “Rodeo Drive” of Cabo Riviera.

Along with the sale of the beachfront lot also came two more Marina Waterfront Lot sales and a Golf Course Lot sale. Needless to say, it has been a busy few weeks for Cabo Riviera. The secret is out, Cabo Riviera IS the Next Level of Luxury Living, and people want to be a part of it.

With only about 28 Marina Channel Lots remaining for Phase I it will be very soon when we see prices go up when more inventory becomes available. If you haven’t booked a tour with me yet for Cabo Riviera, Now is more important than ever to do so. This is the best time to buy and as a sales representative exclusively for Cabo Riviera, I can get you the best deal possible.

Have a Wonderful and Happy New Year!

New Dredge Arrives

November 17, 2009 CaboKelina Leave a comment

Cabo Riviera has acquired a larger dredge to make sure that Phase I construction remains on schedule and is delivered on-time. This dredge is twice the size of our first one and will double in the amount of soil and sand that it will dredge up. It is now in the beginning stages of assembly and should be in the water by next week.

A Beautiful Day at Cabo Riviera

October 27, 2009 CaboKelina Leave a comment

Hurricane Rick was a strong threat to the Baja Peninsula but that is all that Rick remained. Rick managed to stay off the coast of Los Cabos and kick up a few waves and give us some much needed rain. What surprised me most was how clear the water was today at Cabo Riviera after all that storm action. Today had to have been one of the prettiest days out there.

Hurricane Rick

October 19, 2009 CaboKelina Leave a comment

This morning the Baja Peninsula enforced a hurricane watch on the Southern tip of Baja including the Los Cabos and La Paz areas. We are keep a close watch on the hurricane that was a catergory 5 a day ago and is now been reduced to a catergory 2 as of 11AM this morning. The forecast is that it will still decrease in strength as it approaches Baja.

We are all taking precautions for the arrival of this hurricane but around town and at Cabo Riviera, the mood is light and calm. I was on the breakwaters this morning looking at cute little 2 foot waves while in San Jose del Cabo I am listening to 10 foot waves crashing on the beach. It is an amazing sight to see but not a good day to go out surfing. ;)

The Trek Home

October 8, 2009 CaboKelina Leave a comment

This morning I went out early to see what kind of action was going on at the beach in Cabo Riviera. Well it looks like one of the turtle nests have hatched and the baby sea turtles had made their mad dash home into the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez. I am bummed I missed it but happy to see so many trails leading from the nest to the ocean. One of the trails went the opposite direction, did a few circles and then headed to the water. That little one must have been a little dazed and confused from all the excitement. Hopefully I will be there right on time next time around.

Sea Turtle Nests at Cabo Riviera

October 6, 2009 CaboKelina Leave a comment

Over 50 Sea Turtle nests have been spotted and properly marked on the 2 mile stretch of white sand beach that Cabo Riviera sits on. Although it is unknown at this time what kind of sea turtle these nests belong to, the beaches in Los Cabos have been the nesting place for the Olive Ridley and the highly endangered Leatherback turtles for many years.

The Olive Ridley sea turtle has an olive-green shell and really strong jaws. Their favorite meals consist of crabs, clams, mussels and shrimp. They are born on the beach but live in the ocean. After 8 years in the water, a female will be ready to lay her eggs. She lays eggs every year, unlike most sea turtles which nest every two to three years. Once she is done laying her eggs she will crawl back to sea and never return back to her eggs. After about 45 days the baby sea turtles will hatch. They are tiny and black and less than two inches long. They make a mad dash for their new home in the ocean once they come out of their sandy nest on the beach. Sea Turtles have been known to return to the very same beach they were born to lay their eggs.

The Leatherback sea turtle has a barrel-shaped shell made of rubbery skin. It’s jaws are more like scissors and they love to eat jellyfish. The leatherbacks are the largest of the sea turtle species. It is estimated that there are less than 5,000 Leatherbacks in the Pacific ocean.

Digging, Digging, and More Digging

September 30, 2009 CaboKelina Leave a comment

There is more than enough dirt and sand for the guys at Cabo Riviera to dig, and most of the energy is surrounding the marina excavation. Trucks were arriving one after another to haul dirt and sand away from the Marina entrance to be placed strategically around the Cabo Riviera resort. It’s great that Cabo Riviera has their own dirt and sand fill right on site. I found it interesting just how many trucks were being loaded in the 10 minute time span I was out there. In 10 minutes one hydraulic excavator loaded 4 trucks (one after another) and drove away.
